How to backup system with Qiling Backup

When to back up the system

You can try using a Windows 7 installation media from a USB drive, or using a third-party recovery tool like Qiling or RecBoot to recover your Windows 7 installation. If you don't have a system disc or DVD, you can create a Windows 7 installation media on a USB drive using the Microsoft Media Creation Tool. This should allow you to boot into the installation menu and recover your Windows 7 installation.

To avoid the hassle and data loss that comes with a system crash, it's essential to create a system image in advance. This can be a lifesaver in case of a virus attack, hardware or software failure, or improper operation that renders your computer unbootable. By backing up your system image, you can quickly recover your Windows 7, Windows 8 system to its normal state, minimizing downtime and stress.

Note:

For Windows Vista, XP, Server 2003, system files and boot files are in the same partition, so you need to back up the system partition to an image. In contrast, Windows 7 and Windows 8 have system and boot files in separate partitions, so to make the system backup effective, you must back up both the system partition and boot partition together.
